Power 5: My Most Visited Articles
I
am not a techie. I can type “Hello” in an iPhone 4s in 1 minute, and I still
find it an achievement. iPads, sophisticated phones, macbooks- what others see
as a necessity, I dismiss as luxury.
I
have never even imagined that I will create my own blog one day. I thought that it would oblige me to write
and write every single day, to the point that the thing I love doing most will
become a burden.
But
after reading and discovering the blog of my favorite author, Grace Chong,
entitled “Leaves of Grace”, it served as a go signal to finally pursue what was
just playing in my mind.Three months after its birth, the blog of an unknown,
trying hard aspiring writer has hit 1000 views.
So, as this blog celebrates its third ‘monthsary’
(as lovers call it), here are the top five blog entries that you have read- and
loved.
5.
I am his connoisseur – this article was written as a tribute to my dad. I made
this when I was travelling on bus on my
home to Laguna. I entered in seven competitions, it lost. I submitted it in two
major broadsheets, it got rejected. This year, just for the heck of submitting
it, I submitted it to the 2012 Scott Hammond Essay Contest in California, USA.
It won first place.
4.
Crazy Little Thing Called Love- definitely the article in my blog with the fastest
rising readership ever! It is about the trials and pleasures of giving love one
more time, always one more time.
3.
Cherishing the Most Enduring Friendships- an article I wrote about my Campus
Journalism family, and how we continue to remain intact despite having split
priorities.
2.
Writer in Focus: Meet Eva Kristiaman- an ordinary woman with a rock-solid,
extraordinary faith. This article features Ms. Eva Kristiaman, one of the best
Christian writers in Indonesia and in the planet today.
And
the number article on our list is…
Drum
Roll please!
1. 1. A BUTTERFLY MY
HANDS CAN NEVER HOLD- a short and simple poem I wrote in college about a
special girl. I was surprised to see that this article has given my blog half
of its recorded readership. In one night alone, it has recorded 100 view-
increase, which proves that this world is still abundant of hopeless romantics.
I'm humbled, JP, yet I am so blessed to have an amazing God and to know you. Thank you. I trust the Lord would continue to bless you with His wisdom and His joy. He is the source of our inspiration.
